Social Security recipients will get a tiny raise next year, AGAIN. The SS Administration announced yesterday that benefits will increase by a meager 2.8% in 2026 as part of its annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). That means the average retiree will see about $56 more per month starting in January. Frankly, the COLA could easily be called the Social Security Swindle. Since the pandemic started, they haven’t kept up with the dramatic rise in the average retiree’s bills. That’s why while the media celebrates these increases as a “win”… The truth is they barely make a dent for the average SS recipient. This is forcing more and more retirees to look for new ways to boost their income in retirement. I really wish this wouldn’t have to be this way.
