It seems that every week, we get round after round of economic data, and it's all… well, it's terrible.
This week was no exception, either, with initial unemployment claims clocking in at nearly 3 million people over the course of the week prior.
While that's down by almost 50% since the late March peak, it wasn't a significant decline from the previous week (~6.5%), and it remains more than 10x higher than pre-pandemic levels.
Let me be frank -- I am not particularly positive on the country's overall economic outlook going forward.
