How To Use This Market Chaos For Your Gain

Markets are doing their absolute best to make you crazy. After a week of drops, the Dow fought back on Friday finding support from a key price point. After hitting a low on Thursday that was right at the 50 day moving average, it showed some upward movement early Friday. But we aren’t out of the woods just yet. Volatility is still up from recent levels and if it continues to stay elevated it could be signaling a bigger drop.

If you are like most regular traders, these are the times that drive you insane. Just when you can see your account balance moving closer to your target for retirement, that well deserved vacation, or putting you in a position to help your kids, BAM, the market takes a turn and you are left scrambling to overcome the drawdown. When you read about people achieving their life goals through trading, you have to wonder if they have faced the same frustrations.

The good news is that these exact conditions that are making us nuts can produce some of the most potentially lucrative trades. As volatility increases, that is a sign that the market is making bigger moves. While that sound like nothing more that more frustration, it can be more potential gains with the right strategies. When the market is moving more or less in unison, index ETFs can be a very useful tool to turn this madness into money. In fact, with a carefully structured options spread, you can benefit if the market goes up OR down. Trying to find the right trade for this current climate can be frustrating, especially if you are doing it on your own. Wendy Kirkland invited folks to learn about her successful approach earlier today. If you missed the chance to see her quick tip to accelerate your golden retirement, you can still access it here
