Teach your kids (or grandkids) this!

I will say this till I'm blue in the face

Hey There!

I hope you're having a good day today.

I am in a great mood!

I'm in sunny, beautiful Jacksonville, Florida for the week doing some work. Mostly, I came down here to meet with Jack Carter.

He and I had an amazing conversation yesterday, he's a great guy and I really had a lot of fun. I hope you'll check it out when you get a chance.

There's something about the sunshine that really just makes you feel good, isn't there?

Makes you wonder why I choose to live in Seattle! Maybe I'll just stay here!

(Just kidding kids, I'm coming home soon!)

Speaking of kids, I have something I think is really important to teach your kids and grandkids, if you have them.

And if you'll allow me a moment on the soapbox, I'll tell you all about it — because this means a lot to me!

Huge Market Catalyst Kicks Off — Watch This to Be Ready

Yesterday marked the start of a massive market catalyst, one that 37-year trader and Wall Street veteran Jack Carter says may be the #1 trading catalyst around!

If you don't know what it is, watch this video immediately.

And even if you think you have the scoop…

You'll want to check out this conversation with a man who has moved over a billion dollars of real trading money through the market.

Jack is the real deal, and I'm so thankful we got to pick each other's brains and prepare you for the super-important months ahead.

Check out a replay of yesterday's State of the Market Council

I know not everyone who reads this will be a parent or a grandparent, but I'm pretty sure almost everyone who reads this will have children pass through their lives who are important to them.

And I've said this before, but I want to say it again:

One of the most important things in the world to me is financial literacy for children.

It's why I've built a charity to help promote this!

Because honestly, besides loving them and caring for their needs, there are very few things you can do to set kids up for success that are more important than teaching them about money and the economy.

This article sums it up very well:

"Everyone wants their kids to be happy and successful. Teaching them about personal finance and economics can help make that happen."

"In fact, the lack of that education can be devastating."

People make bad decisions because they don't know how money works.

They take out credit cards, or they get so scared of credit that they don't build a credit score.

They take on bad loans, or they never take chances on themselves and get stuck financially.

There are lots of ways to go wrong, and only so many ways to go right.

And money decisions are a minefield for lifelong regrets. We all have some financial decisions we wish we'd made differently!
Of course, that's not entirely preventable. But it is manageable if you know what you're doing.

Unfortunately, schools don't teach kids this — at least not yet (although there is a growing push for it, and that's so wonderful!)

Even those schools that do don't devote the time and effort that's really required, because learning to handle your money wisely and grow it intelligently is a lifelong process.

Parents are the first and maybe the most important step in that process.

So I really encourage you, take time with the young ones in your life and teach them a few things about this all-important subject.

That doesn't have to include teaching them how to trade, but it certainly can! You'd be shocked at how early kids can pick up some basic trading concepts.

I'll stop talking your ear off (or should I say, talking your eyes off?) But this means a lot to me and I really liked the article, so I thought I'd share it.

Happy trading!

Markay
