If you’re not familiar, “opex” stands for “option expiration.”
Every time you place an options trade, you choose an expiration date.
When you reach the date, you can close the option by selling it, by exercising it, or by letting it expire for $0.
Of course, you can always close it before the opex.
But what made yesterday so historic is that we had record levels of options set to expire on that day.
Something like $3 trillion in the final calculations.
That’s an incredible number, I mean insane when you really think about it.
The thing is, though, this is becoming more and more common.
Options trading is more popular now than it has ever been. And there doesn’t seem to be any limit to its growth.
There are some real risks you take when you open an options trade. But if you know what you’re doing, it can be very rewarding.
On top of that, though, there are strategies you can use to take advantage of these circumstances.
The strategy I’ll be talking about tomorrow night is tailor-made for markets like these, with massive options volume and high volatility… it’s perfect!
I don’t want to explain it all right now (or else what’s the point of hosting the class!) but if you click here I’ll add you to the group of folks registered to join me.
This is a really unique time in trading history which gives us a unique opportunity to take advantage.
