Well, it’s another day ending in Y, which means it’s another day with sad stories about the state of the economy.

This time, it’s an update on the status of semiconductor chips, and the prognosis is not positive.

According to the latest headlines, the delivery time for these chips jumped to the highest levels ever in December.

Companies are now waiting an average of 25.8 weeks to get their orders fulfilled.

That makes it pretty difficult to build new products, whether Playstation 5s, iPhones, new cars, appliances, heavy equipment, or anything else…

These chips are used everywhere these days, unfortunately!

There’s no immediate relief on the horizon. But it’s not all bad news.

Companies that make these chips have had terrific years in the market.

Over the last 52 weeks, Nvidia (NVDA) as just one example has climbed 104.8%!

When it comes to Wall Street, I guess pretty much every story has a positive and a negative.
