Taiwan, Semiconductors and… What the Heck Is Nancy Pelosi Doing?! What the heck is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doing with this Taiwan trip?! That was the first thing we discussed on this week’s edition of The Big Picture With Jeff & Roger, our new macroeconomics chat. And it was quite the discussion because both Senior Strategist Roger Scott and I can’t wrap our heads around what she’s doing over there.  First… No, I don’t think this is going to start World War III. But Pelosi’s Taiwan trip — the highest elected U.S. official to visit in more than 25 years — makes little to no sense.  And it’s not just us who can’t figure out what she’s doing, but also the market. Is there a plot? Is there a theme?
