Highlights
The ES futures gapped up to an open of 5761.00 and moved even higher to 5927.00.  The overall move gets the market closer to the open of the year, and that could be a focus of the market for the next few days.

1. Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO)

CSCO moved up to a new April high at 62.24 and closed Tuesday at 61.91.  The low on Tuesday was 61.50.  If this stock can stay above 61.50, and move up past 62.24, it may be on track to visit the March high at 64.88.

2. Super Micro Computers (SMCI)

SMCI pushed not only above the 34.15, but also above 38.50 as the stock moved up today from an open at 33.58 after Raymond James analyst initiated coverage of the stock with a buy rating and a price target of 41.00.  The stock closed trading today at 38.89, but is up to 41.82 in overnight trading.  Risk on this position should be considered to be 35.94 which was the low on April 29.

3. APA Corporation (APA)

APA opened the week at 17.90 after closing last week at 16.72.  PreMarket trading on Monday began at 17.40, and the market ran up to 18.73 before closing the day at 18.46.00.  Now that APA has moved above that resistance at 17.00 we should probably expect it to remain above the 17.00 level.  The target on this move up is the April high at 21.32.

4. The Broader Market

The broader market has turned into rally mode after the events of this weekend.  NQ futures opened this week at 20398.50 and they opened Wednesday’s trading at 21250.  They have already traded overnight to 21301, above the 21269 open of the year.  YM futures opened the week at 41846.00, and they opened Wednesday’s trading at 42245.  YM Futures still have a bit of work left to make it up to the 42935 open of the year.  The ES futures opened the week at 5761.00 and they opened Wednesday’s trading at 5902.00.  The open of the year in the ES futures is 5949.25, and the market seems to be trying to close the distance to that open.  Tuesday’s high was 5927.00.  If the market were to pass the 5949.25 target, then look to the open of March at 5967.50 and the open of February at 5982.25.
