Big news today!
President Trump this week released an outline for the Golden Dome Missile Defense Shield.
For America, this is basically a modernized version of the Reagan era “Star Wars.”
If you remember, President Reagan got a lot of flack for SDI - his Strategic Defense Initiative.
It did force the Soviets to spend extra money on defense, though, which ultimately helped bankrupt their country, in addition to bad resource management and oil prices.
Anyway, President Trump held a little press conference in the Oval Office about the Golden Dome we’ve been talking about here…
We had a webinar about it a couple months back when Trump, by executive order, tasked Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth with coming up with a plan for one.
We re-opened it for you temporarily here, because this is really timely now: The 2025 Defense Stock Summit.
They’re starting to really fill in the details now, so the direction is becoming more clear.
And thankfully, they’re seeing it the same way we’ve been seeing it.
First, it’s looking like $175 billion to start phase one, and $813 billion over 10 years.
And let’s be real - that’ll be over a trillion dollars.
If you’ve been with us for a while, especially if you’re a Breakthrough Wealth member, you’ll remember we talked last year about Russia launching a weapon into space.
I spent a bunch of time talking about that here in my Diary, too.
And readers and viewers, even my kids, say, “hey, why is everybody focused on the moon?
“Haven’t we already been to the moon?
“What’s the big deal?”
Well, the moon is the ultimate high ground in a battle.
When we think of the next conflict, you’re not thinking of German tanks running across Russia or France…
You’re not thinking of helicopters in Vietnam.
Those weapons are vulnerable to drones.
What warfare looks like now is satellites pinging down to weapons…
AI-driven autonomous weapons systems doing the damage.
One of the big things released in this press conference is that Michael Guetlein, Space Force, is going to have to lead in directing this project.
And that is one of my favorite things President Trump did in his first term - starting Space Force.
For those of you who watch this stuff, remember the Air Force wanted to control it?
And President Trump said, no - space is a big deal - we need a whole separate armed forces for that. Absolutely the right choice in my book.
Because think about when they created the atom bomb - the general they put in charge of that…
He was a task master - got everybody working.
He understood all the technologies, had to bring them all together and get people executing a plan.
He was a good project manager.
That’s the kind of thing we need in tackling space - a really competent project manager.
So this announcement is confirming what we’ve been talking to you about and been predicting - the action is starting in space.
I’ll tell you what - we’ve seen a list of companies that are going to be involved, and it reads like a who’s who of stocks we’ve picked in Breakthrough Wealth.
It starts with SpaceX - obviously private and very important with their Starlink satellite systems…
And Palantir, which was a big winner for us last year (we sold out of it for a 408% gain when it got really expensive in my view)…
But they talk about traditional defense contractors we’ve already recommended - RTX, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics…
But also non-traditional defense contractors.

Small companies just right there, involved in this Golden Dome.
