World markets are mostly lower this morning as virus caseloads continue to surge in many countries around the globe.

In places like Hong Kong and Australia's Victoria state, health authorities warn that the number of cases will likely continue to rise if the sick fail to isolate themselves.

Adding to that, a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control states that the number of virus cases in some states are much higher than what's actually been reported. Experts are hinting that the toll from the pandemic is greater than tallies of confirmed cases would indicate.
