Global Markets Mixed Despite Positive Economic Data 

Global stock markets are mixed this morning despite Wall Street posting solid gains Monday and better-than-expected economic data out of China. 


U.S. stock futures rose this morning. Shares in London, Shanghai and Hong Kong opened higher, while Tokyo and Frankfurt declined. 


The Shanghai Composite Index advanced 0.5% following a 0.5% increase in August retail sales — their first positive growth this year and a sign of stable and consistent economic recovery. 


But the real question is: Will the trend last?
