This drove me nuts

No wonder the politicians make so much money

Hey There!

I don't like starting Monday in a bad mood, but here we go…

Have you heard about this controversy at the Fed?

It makes me fuming mad!!

If you don't know the story, this headline pretty much tells everything you need to know:

In short, some Fed officials were holding onto securities that the Fed then bought.

Technically speaking, they didn't violate their code of conduct…

But that same code of conduct says this, too: "[officials] should be careful to avoid any dealings or other conduct that might convey even an appearance of conflict between their personal interests, the interests of the system, and the public interest."

I'd say they more than conveyed that apperance with this silliness.
No wonder during the pandemic most of us got poorer and more billionaires were created than ever. The ultra wealthy use their power and connections to get wealthier.

Okay, now that I've vented a little, I do think there's one mega-important lesson we can take from this, so let's focus on that.

Here's the number one lesson you should take away from this news with the Fed:

Too many people cling to politics and the Fed's policy to tell them how to manage their money.

This is what you need to know:

No one will ever care about your money more than you do!

Not the President, not the Fed, neither Republicans or Democrats, nobody is going to take your financial future more seriously than you do.

That's not designed to scare you, it's just a reminder to take your trading seriously, and begin investing time and resources in yourself, rather than waiting for someone in Washington to rescue us!

The next few months or years could be tough. But even if they are, we can be prepared. It just won't be by waiting on these guys!

Can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds.

Happy trading!

Markay
