My family got some incredible news that I want to share with you all this week! Plus, I’ll give a look at the markets. In fact, let’s start there and then close the week on a good note!

So there’s no use pretending — yesterday sucked pretty bad.

The markets got in a tizzy right from the get-go, and things spiraled out of control quickly.

That’s how it goes sometimes, and I’m sorry if you took a loss. I took a few licks myself.

But here’s the bigger picture:

This is a chart I pulled earlier this week, showing what I expected from the market…

Nothing has changed about that chart except that we’ve gotten closer to what I expect to be our bottom.

I thought we might flush all the panic out by the end of Wednesday — we didn’t.

But that 3950 level is still the bottom target. And I still think we’re likely to bounce off that and shake all this off for a while.

I suppose we’ll see.

Now, about the good news I promised!

Our oldest son got into UTK!

That’s a big deal here in Knoxville, and the boss and I couldn’t be happier for Jacob.

He’s got a bright future ahead of him.
