Market Review:

This Week

We have spent two days with the market grinding higher on light volume. There are two days left this year. For the past 360 days of the year, the market has been targeting the 2022 open at 4771.00 and the 2022 high of the year at 4808.25. We opened last night at 4834.50. The overnight high was 4841.50. This market has a new all-time high. What will it do next?

For most of this year the market has laughed in the face of possible retracement. However, for most of this year the market had targets to reach. Those targets have been met and passed. They are now located below the current market price. Previous action of the market suggests we should grind higher on light volume in the same way that we have done the past two days. However, retracement is warranted. Keep your head on a swivel and identify support.

What's Hot and Not!

Holiday Markets

Holiday markets tend to trend, except when they don't.

This time of year, many traders see low volume and shy away. The work has been put in and done. This market can get a bit grindy. In low volume markets, starting a trend can be a difficult process. However, if the trend gets started, it can be equally as difficult to stop.
