Dear Reader, Forget a relaxing start to the week… As many of the major banks and financial companies get set to kick off the 2026 earnings calendar (such as JPM, MS, WFC, C, and BAC), news broke last night that Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is facing a criminal investigation. It appears to be about the Fed building renovation, which is retaliation for defying President Donald Trump's wishes on interest rates. As the markets opened this morning, traders were pricing in a greater threat to the central bank's independence, with the dollar sinking and gold surging. With that sort of dominating news front and center, it's easy to overlook some key trading opportunities here in early 2026. But one such trade that I'd like to highlight for you has been working quite well for us inside The War Room – and it focuses on a tech stock that you probably have not yet discovered yet. The company is called Sezzle Inc. (SEZL: Nasdaq), and it gives consumers the most basic benefit they desire most… Sezzle operates a technology-enabled payment method that connects consumers with merchants to instantly extend credit at the point of sale. In other words, the Sezzle Platform allows consumers to purchase and receive the ordered merchandise at the time of sale – all while paying in installments over time. Buy now, pay later. And if you look at the numbers, it's clear that consumers love this technology… Over the previous year, Sezzle's revenue increased by +88.74%. Earnings Per Share (EPS) grew by +17.05%. Going forward, analysts expect average annual EPS growth of 24.42% and revenue growth of 43.69%. That's monster growth. But get this… As it stands, SEZL's price-to-earnings multiple is only 14, suggesting that the stock remains very, very cheap. That's probably why the company's Board of Directors just authorized an additional $100 million stock repurchase program. And for traders like us, that's why the stock makes some big moves. For example, Sezzle shares have had 73 moves in 2025 greater than 5%. |
