Hey There!

I read a few articles recently that have me worried about a particular company.

I think we've talked about this recently, but I wanted to bring it back up again.

Let me tell you about it…

We recently talked about how the company Affirm (AFRM) announced a big new partnership with Amazon, which saw its stock price shoot through the roof.
(Can you guess when investors learned about the Amazon news?)

Recently we've seen some pullback. But the stock has climbed to historic highs near 147.00, so it could still have some room to run.

I'm not really concerned about the stock itself, though.

I'm more concerned about what the company does.

I want to be very clear — I'm not calling Affirm a "bad" company by any means.

But their whole business is "buy now, pay later" lending (you can read more about it in this article).

In other words, you can buy a TV you can't afford and pay for it over a few months rather than all at once.

But the problem is, if it's a TV you can't afford, then you can't afford it over six months any more than you can at one time.

Unfortunately, not everyone understands that. Obviously, lots of people make bad financial decisions.

And "buy now, pay later" lenders encourage those bad decisions, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

Affirm is basically a way for people to get deeper in debt.

And we don't like that!

Thankfully, we've got things like income strategies that can help us bring in more income rather than sinking deeper into debt.

Hope that you take some time to learn them and learn about the dangers of Affirm.

Happy Trading,

Markay
