Everyone tends to think about charities during this time of year.
In fact, many charities and nonprofits spend their whole year waiting on the flood of year-end giving to balance their budget!
Folks obviously like to get their giving in during the holidays and sometimes before the tax year ends!
Whatever the reason, there’s never a bad motive to give to charity…
Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that. I don’t know everybody, haha… But I’m sure most folks’ intentions are good.
2022 Big, Bold Prediction: The S&P 500 Will Rally To…
I’ve earned a bit of a reputation for forecasting the market. Like when I correctly warned my brother about the top AND bottom of Bitcoin this year? Or my classic SPY “double dip.”
So you may want to join me today, when I reveal the point I think SPX will rally to… before starting a year-long correction.
One resource I was able to give money to this year, for the very first time, was the Wikimedia Foundation.
I have used Wikipedia as a resource for years (hasn’t everybody?) but I’ve been unable to really afford to support it until recently.
In my mind, it helps untold volumes of people!
I was scrolling their website, and found this really interesting:
“Wikipedia was launched in 2001 with an ambitious vision: ‘magine a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge.’”
“Now, in its 20th birthday year, Wikipedia is the largest collection of open knowledge in history. With over 55 million articles in 300 languages, it is accessed by 1.5 billion unique devices every month, making it the only non-profit site in the top ten most visited on the web.”
I added the emphasis because that is really cool.
Think about it: there’s more information for free on Wikipedia than there was in the Library of Alexandria or even in the current Library of Congress!
And a little support helps keep them free for everybody!
This is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, which certainly wasn’t my intention.
I just think there are some really cool organizations out there, and I am very thankful that I’ve gotten to donate to them this year.
I know a lot of folks don’t feel like they’re in that place.
And you shouldn’t feel ashamed. You should always take care of your needs and your family’s needs!
I’ve been there a lot of years myself.
But I’m thankful that, due to Echo Trades and some of my other trading successes, I’ve had more freedom in recent years to really give back to the organizations and folks that have benefitted me along the way.
And this time of year, it feels important to talk about that and share some stories along the way!
