Three Top AI Stocks for New Year 2024

The artificial intelligence market will be worth billions, if not trillions.

According to Next Move Strategy Consulting, the AI market – currently valued at about $100 billion – could grow twenty-fold by 2030 to more than $2 trillion. All while the technology massively disrupts everything about everything.

On top of that, generative AI could add between $2.6 trillion and $4.4 trillion a year to the global economy. That’s according to a new McKinsey report, which also said it could have a significant impact across all industry sectors.

That being said, investors may want to consider AI-related stocks, such as:

Nvidia (NVDA)

Weakness has become an opportunity in Nvidia. After running from about $150 to $500 this year, Nvidia pulled back to about $453 thanks to the broad market pullback, but now it’s one of the top tech stocks to buy on the dip.

Helping, earnings should remain solid with NVDA a leader in everything tech-related, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Most recently, it announced adjusted EPS of $2.70, which came in above expectations for $2.08. Revenue jumped 101% year over year to $13.5 billion, which was also above expectations for $11.2 billion.

For the current quarter, the company expects to see revenue of about $16 billion, which is also ahead of expectations. NVDA also announced plans to buyback $25 billion in stock. Even better, Goldman Sachs just added Nvidia to its conviction buy list thanks to the AI gold rush.

The Federal Reserve’s job is to keep money flowing in the economy, and to keep inflation under control. But as you’ll see in the up-coming chart, the Fed is usually a little late to the party when making adjustments to the rates.

What comes as a surprise to a lot of people is that one of the biggest inflators in the economy is when there is too much employment. Too many people working causes inflation because with higher earnings comes a higher demand for products, and that demand always leads to higher prices.

That’s why employment numbers are important to watch.

We’ve heard the Fed talk about the 6% target frequently enough over the past few years that we ought to believe it. That is the Fed’s target number for unemployment and what they consider the sweet spot where economic factors are in balance.

First Things First

Everybody should be back at their desks this upcoming week. Understand much of America took time off for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Bureau of Labor Statistics took time off this past week, and as such the monthly Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) Report wasn’t released on the first Friday of the month as it typically is. But instead it will be released this upcoming Friday (12/8).

Speaking of taking time off for holidays, Earnings Season is basically over. It won’t resume until early January. But please understand active trading starts again this upcoming week.

The Federal Reserve will have their last FOMC Meeting of the year on Wednesday, December 13. As it stands right now the Fed looks to keep interest rates the same. But there is one big data point between now and then that can change their mind. I’m referring to this upcoming Friday’s Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) Report.
