Google's New Way Of Serving Ads Posted: 29 Oct 2010 07:57 AM PDT Google has been making a lot of changes these past few weeks. I am going to an 80's costume party and wanted to get some ideas, yea I know last minute. Well, when I did the search on Google, the ads were served differently. Instead of having the usual two sponsored links at the top and other ads on the right hand side of the page. You can see there were a total of 11 ads, but I have to click to see the other eight. Since I find the natural, or left hand side of the page, search results to be more of what I'm looking for, I don't plan on "clicking" to see more sponsored links. Is Google trying to get companies to bid higher for positions one or two? Will they lose revenue or is this just another test? |
