In Wednesday's Blitz Daily, we take a look at pharma kingpin Pfizer as bulls targeted safety in the lead-up to the mid-afternoon Federal Reserve announcement. We saw extremely light trading Wednesday morning as Wall Street waits to see how Chair Jerome Powell and the Federal Open Market Committee will act coming out of the December meeting.
As a result, traders who weren’t on the sidelines saw moves to low-beta names in biotech, including a big move in Pfizer, and the food and beverage markets. Shares jumped as much as 4% on the day as bulls piled in the options for shelter from the choppy markets!
