My favorite numbers just hit: 68-78 signal flashing BUY

Energy stocks are now paying MORE than bonds.

Let me say that again - energy stocks are paying higher dividends than the 10-year treasury while sitting at technical breakout levels.

If you've been in the main room with me, you know I talk about my favorite crude numbers ad nauseum: 68, 78, 68, 78, 68, 78..."

While Everyone's Chasing "Safe" Bond Yields, Energy Just Broke Out

Here's what nobody's talking about while they're piling into treasuries: Energy stocks are now paying MORE than bonds.

Let me show you the math:

XLE (Energy ETF): 3.3% dividend yield
ExxonMobil: 3.5%
Chevron: 4.6%
10-year Treasury: 3.83%

You're getting the risk-free premium PLUS upside potential as margins explode at these crude levels.

Now, energy doesn't need oil to run all the way back to 78 for these companies to print money. Anything above 56 is usually profitable. Anything above 68 is highly profitable.

We're sitting at 68 right now.

The Technical Setup That Has Me Looking Long

What I'm seeing across the energy complex is textbook monkey bar breakouts with higher highs, higher lows.

Take ExxonMobil - we just got a solid breakout through the monkey bars. I'm looking for a move from 111 up to about 118 this month. That's a 7% move while you're collecting dividends.

ConocoPhillips? Same story. Also breaking out of its monkey bars, also creating higher highs, higher lows. The move here takes us from 94 up to about 104 - we're talking about an 11% move.

That alone would have me looking at this as a bullish opportunity.

The Dollar Weakness Nobody's Connecting

This is the part that changes everything: The dollar hit record lows yesterday and couldn't get its footing strong enough to reverse this move.

If the dollar remains weak - and yesterday's bounce wasn't enough to reverse it - then we should expect to see a continuation of commodities going higher, including oil.

That means energy stocks paying you bond-level dividends while delivering 5% to 12% moves just targeting the next distribution range.
