But who am I and why should you listen to me?
My name is Alex Reid. I’ve been trading for nearly a decade at this point. I came to trading in a roundabout way.
After studying economics in college, I landed a job at a major financial research firm. I never intended to go into finance, per se, but you know how life is.
Regardless, it was at that job that I fell in love with trading. My job was to develop trading strategies that we could then license to individuals and larger shops. I learned how to code, and got to study nearly every aspect of the markets.
I used that knowledge to go off on my own. Now, I trade, I teach, and I develop strategies for my students. Some of my traders had the chance to turn a $5k starting account into $70k in a little over a year.
