| I want to tell you a story — one that highlights why I've been able to beat a lot of the so-called "gurus" you probably find clogging up your email inbox every day.
Hopefully, it will also serve as some proof behind my method for long-term trades and you'll reconsider the massive discount I'm offering on Schaeffer's Master Portfolio.
Earlier this year, I added Palantir Technologies (PLTR) to my personal, real-time portfolio. On February 25, 2025, it was trading around $87.78. Since then, the stock has surged by 104.29%, and I only see it climbing even higher.
Why Palantir Captured My Attention
At the time of my investment, PLTR was gaining attention for its innovative data analytics platforms, which assist government agencies and businesses in analyzing and visualizing complex datasets.
The company is involved in a variety of sectors, ranging from defense, healthcare, finance, and more. That makes Palantir well-positioned to lead the data analytics space into the artificial intelligence (AI) age.
Recognizing the company's potential for future growth, I saw PLTR's potential even after the stock broke into $100 to start the year.
Since then, Palantir has delivered impressive results: -
Q2 2025 saw revenue growth of 48%, with U.S. commercial revenue up 93%. -
The company secured major contracts including a $1 billion deal with the U.K. Ministry of Defense and a $10 billion contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. -
AI advancements and strategic partnerships have strengthened Palantir's long-term position in the market. The Technicals
There was a story unfolding… a company that intrigued both financial institutions and retail investors alike. But long-term positions aren't about simply chasing the next big name.
It's about identifying the optimal entry point. That's exactly what I saw with Palantir when I entered my position back in February.
Right before I made my move, the stock had pulled back from its February 20th then-record high of $125.41 – but the damage was contained by its 100-day moving average, or an area that coincided with PLTR's position before a February 4th post-earnings bull gap of 24%.
