President Trump is threatening the BBC with a $1 billion lawsuit. The fight erupted after the British broadcaster aired a documentary that edited Trump’s Jan 6, 2021 speech. They did so in a way that made it look as if Trump directly urged supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol. Once this was revealed, the BBC scrambled to contain the fallout. Their director general and their head of news resigned… And BBC Chair Samir Shah said they were “investigating the issue” while apologizing for what he called an error of judgment.
