Are You Tweeting About Mac & Cheese? Posted: 09 Mar 2011 11:00 AM PST Although you typically see this type of campaign on Facebook rather than Twitter, I'm happy to see the marketers behind Microsoft's "Laptop Hunters", explore the potential of Twitter via "Mac & Jinx". As part of a new program that has been quietly rolled out, whenever two individuals use the phrase "mac & cheese" in a tweet, they each receive a link directing them to "Mac & Jinx". Mashable explains, the first one to click the link and provide Kraft with his/her address receives five free boxes of Kraft's Mac & Cheese and a t-shirt. As a fitness advocate, I am not crazy about the idea of promoting "mac & cheese," but I do like seeing companies branch out their marketing campaigns to Twitter. Twitter is frequently undervalued as some may say it is overshadowed by the big giant, Facebook. Have you tested a similar Twitter marketing campaign with your business? |
