I Still Expect a Santa Rally. Keep an Eye on These 2 Key Charts
It's officially Christmas on Wall Street, and the Santa Clause rally is nowhere to be seen… yet.

When I looked at the markets on Monday morning, the S&P 500 futures were flashing red — down over 1% as the omicron variant rips through the country… And to me, that's actually a sign that the Christmas rally will be here soon.

I expect the flush early in the week to actually pave the way for an explosive rally into the year-end, setting a new cadence of boom and busts in 2022.

Next year will be incredibly difficult for passive investors, and nirvana for active traders like me.

That's why I'm watching these two charts going into the year-end...

Markets Rebounding Despite Omicron Fears
The markets are rebounding following Monday's big slide, which also marked three down sessions in a row on fears about the omicron variant.

Even travel stocks like cruise and airlines are up. Royal Caribbean and Carnival were  up 1.5% and 2.5%, respectively. United, American and Delta Air Lines were all up more than 1% on Tuesday.

The new omicron variant is now the dominant COVID-19 strain, making up about 73% of sequenced cases for the week ending December 18.

With this variant spreading during a busy holiday travel season, the Biden administration announced plans to deploy 1,000 military medical personnel to support hospitals. It's also set to purchase 500 million at-home COVID-19 tests that Americans can order online for free.

So with the market rebounding, let's take a look at the strongest sector and stock as well as the weakest sector and stock.
