The Times article I read pointed out that for millennials, this is really going to be the first time they’ve dealt with inflation on a big scale.
Millennials are broadly defined as anyone born between 1980-1995, so basically adults older than college-aged but 40 or below.
And when you think about inflation being at 30-year highs, then it’s no wonder that millennials haven’t dealt with it.
The oldest of them were barely 10 the last time we had it this bad.
So why does that matter?
Because for those who have been through it before, it can be helpful to give advice to those who have not.
Teach them what to worry about and, maybe more importantly, what not to worry about (don’t think we’re gonna see any East Germany style bread lines anytime soon).
Millennials already feel burdened with a lot of financial challenges. And I know there are some folks who tend to dismiss those concerns, but for those folks, they’re real struggles.
Now this new challenge is coming on top of everything else, and it’s a good time to lend a hand.
Maybe teach one of them the Market Roadmap, if you know it, or show them how to subscribe! Haha!
But whatever you do, this is a good time to be patient with folks and do your best to give back where you can, either with money or knowledge or time, or some combination of all three.
You never know who you might be helping!
Hope this brings some helpful perspective,
