Don here... Alcoa beat earnings by 50% this week. The stock dropped six bucks. Intel reported and lowered guidance. Down eight. GE posted results that should have moved the needle. Nothing. Jeff Bierman has a word for what is happening right now. Anti-climactic. Companies are doing what they are supposed to do. The market is not rewarding them. The S&P 500 is papering over the real story. Individual stocks are breaking down one by one while the index sits flat. Jeff says when 20 or 25 big names crack, the whole thing implodes. In today's free session replay, you'll discover: - Why GDP growth is an illusion. The economy shows 4% growth. Strip out AI and semiconductors and every other sector has negative GDP. One theme is carrying everything. That is not a healthy market.
- The Fed's moving target problem. The PCE deflator just came in at 2.8%. That is moving away from their target. Jeff pointed out the Fed has already abandoned 2%. Then abandoned 2.5%. They are making up numbers as they go.
- What "fully priced" actually means. When a stock trades at its historical ceiling multiple, no earnings beat matters. The news is already baked in. Alcoa at 13 times earnings is fully priced. The only direction is down until the multiple compresses.
- Why you cannot trade off rhetoric. Trump threatened retaliation against European sellers. The market rallied on the headline. Jeff says trading off political statements is the dumbest thing ever. Trade facts. Trade probabilities. Trade slopes.
Jeff is positioned for what happens when the volatility box breaks. He is 55% cash. The longs he owns are oil stocks that nobody else wants. Devon and Oxy are starting to move. The party will end. Jeff has been here before. He is not hanging around waiting for the cops to show up. → Watch Jeff break down why individual stocks are screaming sell while the S&P pretends everything is fine To your success, Don Kaufman Chief Market Strategist, TheoTRADE P.S. Money's rotating faster than ever. Financials pop, tech lags. Then it flips. Chase it and you're always one step behind the machines. Jeff Bierman helped build Wall Street's algo systems.
