That 'cash only' sign in the halftime show? It wasn't an accident. Here's what it means for gold, silver, and your portfolio.
| | I watched the halftime show this morning just to go, okay, what's the hubbub? | All right, lot of things going on on the stage. There was an Emmy Cher, there was a wedding. There was a lot going on, but there was one moment in the zeitgeist. | I don't think anybody caught it. That image right there. | "Compro Oro e Plato cash only." | This is it right here. | That is a very subtle statement about the currency system. | They don't do anything on that stage unless they are doing it implicitly. And that is a solid reminder in South America, in various cultures, of distrust. | Once again, that is an absolute shot across the bow. And very few people will even know that message was even being sent last night. | Now... most people saw that sign and thought nothing of it. But if you've been paying attention to what's happening with currencies around the world... you know EXACTLY why that message was there. | | | | Everybody's Debasing All At Once | So it is a good reminder once again that we have a situation right now where monetary policy, financial systems are under stress. And what do people want? They want real assets, things in their hands. | China has announced - this is nuts - a half a trillion dollars US in Yuan, 3.2 trillion yuan in stimulus for the Lunar New Year. They have a liquidity problem, so they're gonna print. | And when the world's second-largest economy starts printing like that? It pushes up commodity prices. Gold. Silver. Real assets. | Japan, we had an election and wow, super majority, they're just gonna spend. They're gonna cut food taxes, and rice prices just surged in the last year. More printing means more pressure on anyone holding cash. | The US Federal Reserve? Forty billion a month in short-term treasury purchases. Same story, different country. | Everybody's supporting their financial systems right now. This should be bullish for gold and silver. Everybody debasing all at once, all at the same time. Platinum, palladium, everything moving as well. | This has been the story for the better part of a year and a half going back to early 2024 when it became very clear that all monetary policy, all of these actions were going to continue to lead to debasement and weakness in currencies. | It's been the same story everywhere, everywhere around the world. | So Keep That in Focus | This is an opportunity to either choose what your adventure is. Are you gonna go long silver from here, look for another move back toward $30? Or are you gonna sell put spreads and look to try to purchase these assets at lower prices? | It comes down to your risk tolerance. | But here's what I know - that "cash only" message wasn't accidental. In a world where everyone's printing money simultaneously, real assets become the only safe harbor. | Very few people caught that message last night. Even fewer will understand what it means for the next 12 months. | But if you're paying attention... you already know where this is headed. | Want more insights like this? | Join me and the team in the TheoTrade Chatroom where we break down the macro signals everyone else misses. | Stay Positive, | Garrett Baldwin | | |
