Choppy Markets Are Hiding These Great Trades

Crowds Are Scrambling, But Smart Traders Are Grabbing Wins

With the way the market is capitulating you’d think someone yelled fire in the theatre. The swing the S&P has made in the last few days is bigger than the biggest moves from last year that took weeks to playout.  Poor uninformed traders are getting swept up in the rush. Grabbing what seem like great bargains only to have them whipsaw them into a huge loss. Ironically, it is that same herd mentality that is wiping out the accounts of the uniformed that is producing huge wins over and over for savvy traders who know how to exploit the crowd.

Scrambling Masses Leave A Ton Of Money On The Table

When the crowds chase each other around the room, they can quickly push a stock into oversold status as they jump to the next desperate grab. This pattern is actually distinct and with the right indicators can be spotted on a chart without complicated systems. By knowing how to recognize those patterns, it is easier than you’d think to watch them set up on a chart and then slide in to scoop up the overly beaten down stock as it refills to where it really should be. Ian Cooper sent out a link to a quick explanation of how to see these trigger points on charts earlier today. If you missed it you can still access it here.

Some profit examples are based on hypothetical or simulated trading. This means the trades are not actual trades and instead are hypothetical trades based on real market prices at the time the recommendation is disseminated. No actual money is invested, nor are any trades executed. Hypothetical or simulated performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. Also, the hypothetical results do not include the costs of subscriptions, commissions, or other fees. Because the trades underlying these examples have not actually been executed, the results may understate or overstate the impact of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity.
