A Big Future for Bush Sr.'s Training Base

Editor's note: In today's Altimetry Daily Authority, we're taking a break from our usual fare... to bring you an essay from Dave Lashmet at our corporate affiliate, Stansberry Research.

Dave is a world-class expert at finding small defense contractors that are changing their industries and creating massive returns. Three of his Stansberry Venture Technology recommendations are among the top 10 highest-returning closed positions of all time across Stansberry portfolios.

In short, when Dave says he has spotted a new trend in defense... we listen. And that's exactly what he's sharing with us today. Read on for the details...

Lieutenant George H. W. Bush lay in a life raft, bleeding and surrounded by sharks...

His three-man Avenger bomber had taken ground fire over the Japanese island of Chichijima, about 150 miles north of Iwo Jima. When the fuel tanks went up in flames, Bush and his crewmates tried to bail out.

That's when the situation went from bad to worse. Bush's parachute ripped. His co-pilot's failed to open. And the gunner never got out at all.

Alone in the open ocean, Bush waited for hours until a U.S. submarine surfaced and rescued him. For his daring actions, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Bush piloted a total of 58 combat missions during his naval career. He went on to become a congressman, then the 41st president of the United States.

But before those key chapters in his storied career, Bush was just a 19-year-old ensign stationed at Wallops Main Base in Virginia...

The youngest pilot in the U.S. Navy in 1943, Bush enjoyed his time at the no-frills base...

That is, except for the food, which he described as "just terrible."

He shared a room, one stove, and outdoor toilets with his fellow officers. He wrote to his parents that "no one cares what you do as long as you appear for flights."

And most important, at Wallops, he learned to stay cool and collected under pressure – a lesson that served him well in the Navy and in office.

Decades later, Wallops is still a no-frills military base. But it doesn't train Navy pilots anymore. Today, it protects something else dear to the military...

Our access to space.

Wallops has been rebuilt as a launch site for the U.S. Space Force and NASA...

Instead of junior pilots skidding planes, today's flights go straight up... to low-Earth orbit ("LEO").

We have hundreds of satellites in LEO – for everything from weather tracking to military communications to spy operations. That's not to mention GPS, SOS emergency services, forest-fire trackers, space telescopes, and plenty more.

Defense contractor Northrop Grumman (NOC) even launched supply missions from Wallops to the International Space Station in LEO.

Elon's Biggest Role Yet

Elon Musk just landed a huge new Pentagon role: Project Meridian. According to former Pentagon consultant Professor Joel Litman, this is the final part of a much bigger story that's about to hit the stock market on Monday, October 12. He predicts that those who make ONE move before then could multiply their money as much as 23 times. Click here now to get the full details (and Joel's No. 1 FREE recommendation).

A Multimillion-Dollar Dream House – Paid for With a SINGLE Trade...

Stansberry Research analyst Gabe Marshank's house was just featured in Architectural Digest due to his wife's impeccable decorating. But it's how Gabe paid for the house that really matters. Let him welcome you in and show you how it's done... Click here for more details.

Despite its importance, unless you've driven along Virginia's coast, you probably haven't heard of Wallops.

But the base is gearing up for a big future – one that starts next year.

The Trump administration's latest defense proposal will breathe new life into our aerial defense systems...

Already, the U.S. Space Force has awarded up to $3.2 billion in contracts to a dozen companies... all with the goal of bolstering our space-based missile-defense systems.

That's only the start. This corner of the defense industry could see the highest budget increase of any military service in 75 years.

With so much spending on deck, the Space Force is spinning up a new launch partner at Wallops. Its only goal is to send leading-edge tech into orbit.

This small-cap firm ticks all the boxes for a speculative defense play. It has a $3.9 billion market capitalization and boasts an $800 million cash hoard.

And while it's not profitable yet, it has an impressive $1.5 billion backlog... mostly from NASA and Space Force.

But that's not all. You see, thanks to "Customer No. 3," this business has another critical edge – one that I'd like to tell you about today.

Joel and the Altimetry team have been tracking the space-investment spending spree closely...

And since this defense beneficiary fits right in with their thesis, I've agreed to share my research with their Microcap Confidential subscribers.

Learn exactly what Joel has found – and how to access my report (plus a slew of other bonuses) – right here.

This story is moving faster than any of us predicted. Joel believes the government will soon start to tap smaller, more competitive companies for lucrative contracts. This is your chance to buy in early.

Good investing,
